See the Skills of the Coopers Kiku-Masamune Sake Brewery Museum Learn the History and Techniques Involved in Sake Brewing
It is a tour where you can learn about Japanese Sake from making sake to tasting sake. After seeing tools for sake brewing at the museum, you can see techniques of sake taru (barrels) artisan closely. You‘ll be amazed by the breathtaking craftmanship! At a brand new (opened in April 2022) Sakazuki (sake cup) museum, you can see beautiful sake cups from all over Japan. Sake tasting will be provided by different types of sake cups. Please relish Japanese sake while feeling a taste difference when you change a cup.
Kiku-masamune Sake Brewery Museum
“Nada-based Sake Brewery’s Equipment”, designated as important tangible folk cultural property by the national government, as well as other small tools are exhibited. Please experience their enthusiasm for sake brewing which has been passed down over more than 350 years.
Taru Sake Meister Factory
They make wooden sake taru (barrels) with techniques which have been handed down from Edo period. They exhibit Yoshino-cedar, a material for sake barrels. At the factory, you can see artisans making a barrel closely.
Sakazuki (sake cup) Museum
Newly opened in April 2022, this museum has a great collection of sake cups from all around Japan. Along with history and development of sake brewing, you can learn how the type of sake cups have changed.
Tasting
