Sake Production in Nada: Past and Present

TOURISM OVERVIEW

It is a tour where you can learn about sake production in Nada with comparing past and present. Mr. Miyawaki, who has 60-plus year experience in sake brewing is your guide. In the exhibit floor (2nd floor), he explains sake brewing process and old tools used in the process.  He also performs a “sake brewing song” which used to be sung when brewing sake in the past.  “Sake brewing song” performance can be only seen here by Mr. Miyawaki from Hamafukutsuru, and not available in other breweries in Kobe.

Hamafukutsuru Ginjo Brewery (2nd floor)

Panel display of sake brewing process and exhibit of sake making tools which have been used since the Edo era. You can feel aroma of sake while enjoying the tour.

Hamafukutsuru Ginjo Brewery (1st floor)

The shop has Ginjo Brewery’s exclusive sake and you can enjoy tasting several kinds of sake and soft serve ice cream made with daiginjo sake. They also have a wide selection of items such as sake cups and snacks that go well with sake.  Not only tourists but also Kobe locals come to this shop. It will be the great opportunity to buy souvenirs for your family or friends!
